Mission Statement:
Gamma Rho Lambda is a queer-based social sorority focused on fostering a progressive environment for its members to excel in social academic and community settings. By providing a forum for diversity, expression, and understanding, future leaders will be empowered with
the courage to affect social change.

History:
The founding chapter of Gamma Rho Lambda is located at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Plans to begin a chapter for San Diego State began in the Fall of 2004. In the Spring
of 2005 eight women became the first Gamma Rho Lambda pledges at SDSU. In August of 2005 six of these persistent women became sisters to the sorority. The GRL’s of SDSU have become a provisional chapter of the USFC (United Sorority & Fraternity Council) on campus. To date, Gamma Rho Lambda is located at Arizona State University, Georgia Southern
and new colony is forming at the University of Missouri- Columbia.

At San Diego State University:

SDSU has many Greek organizations (sororities and fraternities), but GRL is the first to be LBT-focused. We are making the LBT community more visible by saying we belong on this campus too! Check out our calendar to see some of the events we participate in throughout the semester.
